So my dart was torn apart last fall for some maintenance and a paint job... Well, it's still not back together, but getting closer every day! I love the cars of yesterday that all had names, and my car is definitely old school so I wanna put a name on it. Any ideas would be appreciated... I'll add some random info that might help you folks come up with something creative.
1968 dodge dart sedan
Bracket car only
No electronics of any kind
No air shifter. (Think old school)
Very plain Jane type car.
Car will be blue
Car has a big block / 727
I'm a giant of a man (think sasquatch)
I live in Kentucky

Any ideas?

I agree, I prefer the old-school names to cars that look like a product box or have a jillion paint flourishes on them. By the same token, I don't do advertising, decals or lettering unless that person or entity helped or funded the deal.

It is cool that you want to name your car. I really loved it when most race cars back then had names that were not advertisement. Some names really made race cars seem bad azz. Some names of local cars I remember were Attitude, Egore, Hulk, TNT.

I agree on the advertising thing, I'm not into that unless your funding the deal.. and that ain't happening. To me it's all about hearing dad talk about local cars he used to watch back in the day.

One thing I'm going to do is put "tuned by Leon" (my dad's name) on the front fender somewhere. Even though he's been gone for 12 years now, I'm going to do it in his memory. Also somewhere on the car I'll put "bondo by Mongo" since I do all my own paint and body work and my nickname is Mongo. (From the movie blazing saddles).
