I have one with CH6 and no 7 digit part number......how many versions of this intake did they make?

How many production dates for 69 models and 70 models? I would assume 71 was definitely cast iron.

I thought I read somewhere (years ago) that production of the A12's was cut short due to a shortage of intake manifolds. If that was true, how did they end up on some 70 models?

I've always wondered if anyone ever compared performance of the aluminum Edelbrock to the '70, '71 Chrysler production cast iron intake manifold straight up? Maybe it was perceived or fact that the Edelbrock 3X2 aluminum intake was a better performer and some owners jumped to the aluminum Edelbrock right away or a little later because of that thought? Could have been a deal closer if the owner worked it right at purchase. Edelbrock had a pretty good performance image going during those days plus being aluminum and lighter and "cooler" as in hip, who knows???

Removing 39 pounds from the front of the car is already a big gain.

I have a FEB 02 Built 440 6 pack Cuda I just finished it is an aluminum intake with the goofy 6 and NO CH6B on the runner. The carbs are also correct and date coded.. See attached

What are your thoughts on this manifold? OEM or over the counter replacement. Getting comments both ways.

the CH6B is a over the counter piece.

This 6 looks normal, so this is NOT an A12 intake? No CH4B ever appeared to have been present. Actually manifold looks NOS.
