May I make a suggestion. Why don't YOU build YOUR car to fit one of the other classes. !50.00 to race two days for 1500.00 sounds like a deal to me as I go to other races on the East coast and know what it costs. Some cars cost way more to race than others and have more fan appeal. I personally think the "street class" pays to much but I'm not going to cry about it.

I have raced in the " Street" class last couple years.
Unlike at my home track 12 flat and slower, at Monster Mopar it's 11 flat and slower. Most times it's 6 or 7 rounds. Very well populated by racers. Similar to box with entries I would bet. Called Sportsman class
Best deal if you want to talk payout for entry is probably my 11.50 race. Last year 3rd round was in the money and pays back to quarters.
Not everybody will ever be happy.
Josh does a great job

I think he does too. No matter how hard you try some guys will always cry. He is trying hard to up the car count in the heads-up class. The big dog 8.50 and under used to be a qualified 16 car class years ago so that changed some making the box class slightly smaller.

Take a breath brother...it was a suggestion. Didn't know all the negativity would jump in and take offense to some friendly Convo. No different than when I suggested Mopar nats add a gamblers race and the next year they did. Everyone wins when things evolve.

I know how much it was because I won Pro last year.

Any concerns with 67ft of Motorhome and Trailer? We would like to check this race out, seeing once again i can't make the Norwalk race.

It’s all good. I get it and am here to listen. I also appreciate the folks sticking up for what we do. Sometimes there is an instant level of defense when these conversations come up. It’s all good. John just loves me like a son so he gets a little huffy. wink

I also agree that evolution is a must to get better and survive.

Some promoters dont see that and will eventually go the way of the DODO.

Thanks Josh for putting these races on. Hands down the best races I have ever been to. I will say I do miss watching the quick 16 class. I know why you changed it, but man it was fun to watch!

Now to get the car ready in time.... haha.

Or pony up and a build a N/SS, Hemi, or big dog car and go less rounds. Trust me we've run Pro as well. Try racing a 9.0 car on 10.5's foot braking in Pro on local track prep. Cause that's what I do when there is no N/SS

Are there hotels close? Any issues leaving the car at the track at night?

Clay City has hotels about 15-20 min away.

Also red river gorge is a few exits up and the log cabin deals ar pretty cool. And fair priced. Thanks

Haven't missed a Monster Mopar at Norwalk yet! And not planning on missing this one either. One of my favorite weekends of the year.
