So 15x10 with 5.5 BS fits with out mods on a 68-70 B-body?

I put new springs on my coronet and now the 255's on cop rims look small. Was thinking of putting them up front and getting some bigger tires/rims for the back.

I run 295-50-15s on 15x10 magnums on the rear w/ a 5" backspace and they fit perfect. On the front 15x8s with 4.5 backspace w/ 265-50-15s and yes they fit and my front ride ht. is lower than stock,D.

Please post a pic of your rear wheels if possible.

That type of tire measurement is tall x wide, pretty sure - it's an LT (light truck) sizing.
Blacksheep's bad-wicked GTX has the tire & sidewall beef I'd like on my blue RR. The 295/50s have plenty of room at stock height on the 15x8/4.5BS wheels in the pic. I'd like to run 15x10/5.5BS on the back. Wouldn't mind stepping up the gear a bit (from its 4.10s) to 4.30 or even 4.56, but the car spins the street tires in 1st & 2nd already...

29 x 12.5 is the size listed on the sidewall of the Mickey Thompson Sportsman sidewall. They measure 29" Tall 10.750" Tread Width 12.750" Section Width when mounted on my 8" rims. I like the look of stock and I plan on having a set of Goodyear Polyglass mounted on steel wheels as well, but I think especially on a coronet the stock sizes get eaten up by that wheel opening, and anything under 28" tall looks to small. But this is only my Scott
