Lets see some Cuda progress!

The shifter adapters that were reproduced for me ( duplicated from originals). One is an A-body and the other is for my V gate I had them duplicate the additional holes/threads etc a previous racer had added

A little mud to smooth out the patched area (thanks to John, seen here)

Me getting into my work (good to know a body fits in there )


Trunk floor is pretty clean, but I found some rust and scale under the excessive factory? seam sealer



I could only think of one easy way to clean up the area, I removed the jack bracket. The spot weld had ceated a hole that they had plugged with the seam sealer. I should have drilled the hole larger on the side

John did a little work on the dr door today as well

Glad to see you are back at it! Are you suggesting that ma mopar might have cut some corners during original assembly? Perish the thought! I'm sure a tube of "structural seam sealer" was used to fix the "irregularities" when your Cuda came off the line.

Lookin' good Bob! I didn't even know you were doing this...I just tripped across this thread tonight. GREAT job! In between work and family, Rick (71autoxr) and I are prepping my daughter's '67 cuda for paint. We hope to have it in paint by Feb. Then we move onto a '69 Dart project Rick has going. We have a couple lined up for the next several months.

Things are looking good. A lot of the pics remind me of the work I did on my '72 'Cuda.

BTW, I'm going to ABQ from 3/27 to 4/4 I believe. Can you PM me about the Mopar scene and drag racing?

Nice progress, cant believe I skipped right over this section for so long. Its been 5 years since me and Jim Dufrain stopped by your place in Vegas. My how time flys.
