i looked at the same deal, haven't talked to a machine shop yet but i have a 440 crank that's already been machined for a lowdeck. it's gonna need a little clean up on the journals (very light surface rust spots) so was thinking to 2.20 rod pin and 3.90 stroke.

but, i'm not sure for a mostly street motor, idling in traffic and the sorts, that i would feel comfortable with that rod side clearance...

I don't understand why everyone gets so hung up on side clearance. Too little is a concern. I doubt within reason there is such a thing as too much.

I think the oil coming out of the outside of the 2 rods under pressure hits the radius of the journal and tries to push the rods together while the oil on the inside tries to push them apart effectively holding them in a stable position. Assuming everything that is supposed to be round is round and not tapered, there really isn't much reason for them to move at all much less bang into each other.

Did you have your crankshaft grinder offset grind the crank to increase the stroke or just reduce the rod journal size only?
The reason I'm asking is if it is offset ground most shops end up with a standard radius on the inside of the offset centering the rods towards the middle of the rod journal scope
Mopar has used a reverse radius as long as I know of on the rod journals that does not have a step up or a corner for the rod bearing journals to ride up against like all the other OEM makers use scope shruggy

Ohio Crankshaft CO (800-333-7113) 4.25 stroke up devil
Them or Tom Molnar at 616-940-4640 scope
If your stuck with a 3.91 stroke then I would call 440 Source to see if they have one in stock or not shruggy

For a street car, lower RPM engine, the 4.25" stroker kit with the shorter rod ratio is fine. It will produce alot of low end torque. On a 496" street engine you don't need to mess with the high compression pistons. The 20cc dished pistons should be good for around 10:1 compression with an 80cc head.
I have used the 440 source kits, and they are decent, but have everything inspected and checked if you don't have the tools to do it yourself.
Same with the source heads. Really any of the aftermarket heads need to be disasembled and cleaned as a minimum. I was surprised at how dirty the aftermarket heads are, and that is pretty much true for any of the brands.

The cam you mentioned is really too small for a 496" engine.
The 10230704LK would be OK in the engine 234/242 @ 0.050", 0.513"/0.533" lift. The Voodoo cams use a 3-bolt timing gear, so make sure to order the correct timing chain set for the cam you use.
