T&T was always $50when we went on a Saturday the only time it was $100 was on the all day Friday T&T's
If it has not changed Tech was usually one of the Porteus brothers or Tall Paul. All of whom who work for NHRA so not going to sneak a helmet by them.

You're right. I spoke to Paul last night. He said Snell 2010 or 2015 is required. Oh well. I'll just go for a nice long cruise today instead. I'll head out to the track on March 31st. It should be quieter anyway with the track closed the next day.

Thanks for posting that CARB story Al. It got me to cuss out loud at my computer screen. But it does help to know your enemy.

I am for sure wrong in Cali, however most states start emissions testing standards with the 1967 model year(suppose my reason for singling out that year), like Nevada and Arizona etc.
Pretty sure to be completely technical California emissions standards were implemented for the 1961 Model year in California only with the introduction of a mandated PCV valve.

Al is correct on this I bought a used 1959 Dodge Coronet in 1962 or 1963 (CRS) that had a add on PCV conversion installed on it by the used car lot that I bought if from in San Bernardino,CA. They didn't even remove the intake manifold when they drilled two holes into it for fittings for the PCV vacuum line connected to a T vacuum fitting I was working in a service station in SO CA and we got into installing those kits back then
