I use a set of old school elephant ears with a solid welded passenger side stock mount. The trans mount is poly. This set up is low buck, strong, and solved my external oil line clearance problem. I run 10.90-11.00 @ about 660 hp.

ok lets scale down to a super comp dragster, same deal. they are held on the front by 2 aircraft type water hose clamps and they are not held against the rear end. they do have a coupler but it's loose fit. and with all the flexing you say wouldn't that make it worse? my point is the heavy duty front motor plates are not needed imo.

If you wheel stand and run a 1/4" plate and come down
hard.... it WILL buckle.... as me. I stepped up to
a 3/8" plate with limiters

Fortunately I didnt run a real deep pan back then and
all it hurt was the plate. As soon as I unbolted the
plate the chassis sprung back into place(thank goodness
it was a moly chassis)

If you look closely down by the passenger side shoick tower you will see the limiter. just a mount with a heim on it that bolts to a tab off the bottom of the frame rail

On my coronet i use the stock repop hemi mounts with a limiter that bolts to a mount that i welded up under the battery tray and to two bolt holes on the water pump housing (that go into the block), has heims on both ends (which helps when adjusting the valves to pull motor over to get the valve covers off)

Tony, what exactly is your point? i like the heavier plate because of the 1.cutouts 2. they are made by a member here 3. they are sold by a sponsor here 4. i dont have any extra hose clamps to use as motor mounts

nothing wrong with it, I don't like the triangle cut outs on that one but it's not going to hurt anything. go for it.

Hey I didn't want to horn in, but Andy has not replied. I can make your motor plate and we will "customize" it for you.(holes, triangles, solid, we can even put a pentestar in it if you want)

PM me if you are interested.

I was going to run my limiters from the rear of the trans case to the trans crossmember. I was planning on using the machined locating lugs on the rear sides of the case. It would be out of the way, easy to access.
