I had one. I was really amazed at the driveability it had. It was hard on the fuel though with the center squirter carbs. But really streetable as far as behaviour was concerned. Never got around to plimbing it up properly, but the car went two tenths quicker and it was a stock stroke 340. As Mr.Peabody kinda noted, you need good carbs.

I had the Weiand T/R also, it was a kit from
Summit and came with 2 / 450 mech sec. Holley's.
It was on my 67 Cuda. Stock 340 with a Lunati
BR II cam. 22 years ago it made for a cool
looking combo, and ran fine on the street.
Ran 12.20's at the track, and never ran it over
6200 rpm.

I think 2 Dom's are a bit much, but if it's all
you have, go for it.

Carburation is based mainly on rpm so if you take
it up in the revs it has to breathe more( of course
the other components have to fall in line with the
higher revs)
and the volume of the cylinder

Hey Colt340, is your tunnel ram one of the Edelbrock street tunnel rams? It does not have the huge plenum of the Weiand.

Why did Edelbrock only make that street tunnel ram for a couple of years? I remember it in the summit catalog then it dissappeared. I owned an old old edelbrock TR2 or something -TR21? tunnel ram for a 340. Thing was VERY VERY TALL. The Offenhausers look quite tall as well.

its got a nice and strong midrange

from what i know about the edelbrocks there is 3 diferent tops for the street tunnelrams
1 low top for dual fourbarrels
2 tall top for dual fourbarrels. higher rated rpm range than the low top
3 a tall top for singel fourbarrel wich has a prety high rpmrange but i cant realy say the reason to use one of those singel fourbarrel tunnelrams, since they realy dont look very efficient

I have a brand new w-2 mopar performance tunnel ram that I was going to use but ended up buying w-9 heads.Does anyone know if the w-2 tunnel ram could be adapted to fit the w-9's?

those are 750 double pumpers from proform, way big according to most people, but they where kind of all i had around..
yeah ran it for some time last summer, just as good as a rpm airgap in the low range but once the middrange power comes on it realy shines and never looks back, took it of early last summer in an effort to keep it all looking alitle bit less race for the inspection that has to be passed once every two years to be allowed to drive the car on the streets around here i think this setup is great it is very drivable and has more torque than a singelplane holley stripdominator.
