FEA is certainly nice but can only get you so far. Perfect example is the gen III hemi rods, they all tend to break in the same spot (at least from 03-08) yet I clearly remember chrysler bragging about using FEA to make the lightest strongest rod possible but somehow they break off right near the crank often times not causing any other damage and sometimes breaking out a piece of the block.


I am not causing global warming, I am just trying to hold off a impending Ice Age!

GIGO. FEA is a tool, like all other tools.

You tailor your theories to explain actual observations.
Only a damned fool argues with the real life evidence. Which explains a lot of current politics, for a real life example.

Anyways, these rockers look expensive, and beyond that which is required for my purposes at present. S/F....Ken M
