And its a whole lotta red! Now I have to polish the 3 miles of trim it has along with restoring the sun roof and interior. The before pic will give you an idea of the final look. A color combo not normally seen.

Love it!! Love the color combo too. Those color combos of 77 thru 80 were so cool. Great truck.

That looks really nice. I bet the paint alone was $1000 or more! Reds are the most expensive color, and it took a drop or 2 to do that beast. It looks like somebody did a nice job on it for you. bow

I'm digging it but lets talk about technique for cleaning up that anodized aluminum trim. Have a couple projects in the works and my youtube inspired trial and error methods aren't working.

I used Windex with 0000 steel wool to clean it up real good. Painted all the black areas with SEM trim black and polished with Auto Sol anodized aluminum polish. Its not super show quality but I am happy with it.

MY 78 Ramcharger SE is the same combination from the factory, the original owner had it repainted palomino. It's at the body shop currently getting a frame off repaint, back to the original 2 tone red.

Its officially done. Last couple of items was rebuilding the AC and juicing it with R12 and the Bed liner. I used tintable Raptor and tinted it with the base coat from the center section of the truck.

I like em. Not too loud and the truck tracks nice with them. It was a little stiff but when I replaced the Rancho shocks with Monroe Gas Magnums it made a world of difference. Always had good luck with Coopers and the price is fair compared to BF Goodrich.

Nice color!

We're running rebadged LT version of cooper discoverers on one of our trucks and have no complaints.

Very nice truck. Different color combo which looks good and there wont be any of no copycats. The bed liner color mixing did you add any UV inhibitor? My experience if you did not the reds like to go chalky pink in time. If garaged most of the time you may be ok.

looks great. on the wide trim i had a hard time painting the trim to look good. the tape edge looked terrible. So, I had a matte black stripe made for the insert. clean and quick.

Good call on the black stripe . . . one suggestion for that - use a black "reflective" stripe . . . gives you a "safety" edge and just looks cool when you catch it at different angles in the light/dark . . . .

Looks great !!

Cheers
