For all the engine builders here. If someone walked into your shop, requesting a reliable, coast-to-coast, EFI pump gas engine that makes a minimum of 700hp; what would your estimate be? Is anyone here truly saying that they could build any Chrysler engine that makes over 700hp, providing a 3/yr warranty, utilizing -all new- parts, for under $15,000? Really doubt it. Yes, it's an astronomical cost up-front, but genuinely, most of us have $10,000+ in 40-year old blocks getting 10mpg on 93-octane. This is a drop in the bucket for someone looking for tier-1 reliability, versatility, and performance from a proven oem application. Not only that, there is no way you could lose even a penny on the resale market in terms of the upgrade. 6.2 Hellcat engine is a bargain, here is the GM equivalent; https://www.summitracing.com/parts/nal-1...AiABEgJnLfD_BwE

Looks like the LS9 is an aluminum block. I'd be nice if the hellcat was aluminum also. The blower and air-to-water cooler adds quite a bit of weight. Still has to be lighter then a NA gen 2 hemi. I think $15K is pretty reasonable as well.

They fit in an A-body without firewall cutting so I wouldn't think it would be a problem.

Here is another pretty wicked option available now. Crate Gen III 426 hemi from Edelbrock. More money than the Hellcat engine, but makes 101 more HP. $27 K, pocket change. https://www.speedlogixstore.com/product-p/46126.htm808 HP AND 762 FT-LBS TORQUE Now you can get a complete 426 c.i.d. E-Force supercharged, Gen III HEMI® engine, that produces an astounding 808 horsepower and 762 ft-lbs. of torque for your Mopar. The foundation of this engine is a brand new iron Mopar 392 block with a forged and balanced Manley crankshaft, forged Manley H-Beam connecting rods and Manley forged aluminum pistons. The 4.090" bore and 4.050" stroke help this HEMI produce incredible low end torque. The 9.9:1 compression ratio allows for safe and reliable supercharged performance on 93 octane pump gas. Helping this engine breathe is the Edelbrock E-Force supercharger system featuring Eaton’s TVS R2650 rotors, which provide unparalleled efficiency, whisper quiet operation and OEM reliability. This engine package comes complete with essential supercharger kit components, such as the electric intercooler water pump, intercooler plumbing, intercooler recovery tank, as well as fuel rails, fuel injectors, coils, mass air flow sensor (MAFS) housing and re-usable air filter. The supercharger equipped on this engine features a driver’s side throttle body orientation for ease of intake routing. Pair with universal heat exchangers for a complete installation. The Edelbrock Gen III HEMI® 426 Long-Block #46125 is the base for the E-Force Supercharged crate engine, but is also a great starting point for any high horsepower forced induction Mopar build. Its compact design allows for a seamless swap into most platforms; eliminating the need for modifications to your engine bay or hood. SPECIFICATIONS Displacement: 426 c.i.d. (4.090" bore x 4.050" stroke) Rods: Forged H-Beam Camshaft: Comp Cams 226°/234°, .619/.612, 116 LSA Horsepower: 808 Torque: 762 Rocker Arms: Mopar OEM Compression: 9.9:1 Induction: E-Force R2650 Supercharger System Block: New Iron Mopar 392 Cylinder Heads: Edelbrock Performer RPM #61099 Crankshaft: Forged 4340 Finish: Black Powder Coated Pistons: Forged Aluminum - 5cc Warranty: 2-year / Unlimited mileage Includes Engine Accessory Kit Important Installation Notes: This engine will require an EFI compatible fuel delivery system with a minimum pressure of 75 gph @ 60 PSI. Fuel pressure regulator with boost reference is required. Top of supercharger measures 20.74" from crank centerline.

Few photos of the Edelbrock 426 c.i.d. E-Force supercharged, Gen III HEMI® engine, shown at the 2017 SEMA show. Cool day and age we live in, just need lots of money to play.

Here's what it cost a youtuber to put his hellcat Charger into the 9's
Ran 9.80 but I am pretty sure its the same mod list everyone else does that runs mid 9's
Deduct the car / drivetrain upgrades and think what that would do in something 1000+lbs lighter. Hellcrate already comes with the unlocked PCM included, so deduct that too.
