It's nice to fill up at the gas station with no worries. If a 10.5 572 can't overpower your street tires there is something wrong with it. I see 11 and 12 second cars with big inch $25k engines around here all the time and it just makes the owners look stupid IMO.

If you do that your life will be miserable. My buddy has a car like that and it's such a hassle/expense to drive it he doesn't drive it anymore, he can't enjoy it and now talks about selling it. Stick with pump gas. This isn't the old days. You can make all the power you want on pump gas with no downside. I agree, you will have more fun and drive it a lot more often on pump gas. My Duster(wedge motor) runs on 92 octane, drive it almost every day and runs mid 10's at the track with highway gears. You'll make plenty of power either way. Another option is E85, then you can run 13.5 compression at around $2.50 a gallon. Lots of guys in my area run it, but I will say it puts out a strange smell.

I wanted the most NA HP I could have for a pro street car. Super high comp, huge roller, T-ram etc. Was fun 1st season. Could barely drive it more than 5 miles. Got tired of it and sat for years. Got rid of it and now have pro street car with big inch pump gas motor. Way more fun and can actually drive it.

Most likely will talk with builder on Monday. Next question is choice of heads and availability of same in relationship to chosen compression ratio. Builder is favoring Mopar aluminum rather than edelbrock due to exterior look and rather than Indy due to past quality issues. Mentioned Stage 5 and he thought they were very difficult to get. Not sure about that as I have not tried to find a set. Thanks for your collective wisdom.

Call Tim Banning at FHO (905-797-2459) for a really good set of his CNC ported Stage V heads, he has unfinished pallets full of them according one of the other members on here I ordered a top end kit(heads, EFI manifold plumded for dual throttle bodies, rocker arms and ARP head studs kit)from him and had it very shortly there after, 2 to 3 weeks is what I remembering, custom built to order These heads are awesome

The exhaust rockers are the most likely to contact the stock steel covers. And usually the center 2 on each side. My current combo has Landy rockers under stock covers with only .550 lift and I had to dimple the covers for the center 2 rockers on each side.
Sometimes, just slightly slotting the bolt holes and then spreading the valve covers wider in the middle will get enough extra room for the rockers to clear if they do touch.
Master, again and still
