Hey guys, This Barracuda of mine came with a reverse cowl scoop way back when I first got it, also the shaker hood. I have always been against them on mopars and cut it off but now I have been bouncing from single dominator to tunnel ram and Im thinking about putting a 6" cowl back on the glass hood. I would like the option of running the tunnel ram but have it covered. Cowl or No cowl ? Is there any other glass scoop that could cover the carbs with clearance ?

I have a cowl 5" on my 70 'cuda , I could care less what others think. It's not their car. Nothing is ever said about running ford 9" rears, or powerglides in Mopars .
it's ok to butt heads, just don't do it with a butthead

I like the cowl, looks pretty good. But man wouldn’t it be cool if there could be a way to get an oversized shaker top to fit the stock hood.

I seen a challenger here with one of those Sunoco's hoods on it, it didn't look bad. Should have snap a pic. of it. Just throwing that out there

Cheers but I have a few set up's just want an option to cover the carbs an tunnel with a hood, no air filters. I have the tune up sorted and they kill the single carb on the street and track.

I like the cowl hood. Thats what I run on my Cuda. I never worry about what others think. At one race another Cuda owner said nice Chevy scoop to which I responded I like your shaker , didnt Ford come out with that for their Mustangs in 69. To say he was unhappy is an understatement. My point is all manufactures took ideas from ea other so why cant we. Run what you like that performers the function you need
Ok
