I don't know of one - are there any known 3-tag "TRANS AM" cars? if "WE" go by just 3x2bbl intake, transmission & exterior paint combinations there are going to be dozens of KNOWN "1 of 1s" Yeah and then we could get really silly....like an A12 Road Runner RM21 D32 with a clock......or with rear speakers and cigar lighter delete MikeR

I'll go with that one......but if were going with a vinyl roof one off option then sunroofs, color and other options will have to also come into play as for rarity. MikeR When you are dealing with cars that have production figures less than 200 with the number of options and paint choices I think it's less like that two cars got built the same. Are we including options and color then? I don't think that was the original question

I think that is the green T/A Sean Machado once saw. Same area. Was it an auto?
My 71 Challenger R/T is 2 tags. It's not particularly rare or anything. Not really loaded with options. Just all the molding options. And those can fill a tag quick.
I don't know as I was never allowed to go see it. My 1970 N96 V code Challenger is a two tag car as it has a lot of molding options.

the modtop 69.5 a12 bee only one is known to exist.. That gets my vote.... I agree you cannot look past the model/engine/transmission combination to truly consider rarity. As Dan said, if you do, there are numerous 1 of 1 s with that rational. It looks like the convertibles win this discussion if we remain option blind. If we do consider options, here are the numbers on the Floral Top A12 Bee. WM21M9 - D21 267 WM21_9 - V1H 8 WM23_9 - V1H 18 DD

Yes there are 3 tag Trans am cars, has anybody seen one/know of one? The Trans am cars aren't available with all moulding options that regular E-bodies could have. Such as belt mouldings, sill mouldings, body side mouldings, back of hood moulding, se tail panel, front valence, M46 side scoops, N41, N42, etc.

That old Dodge add is really neat, where was that dealership ? the 70 Hemi Lime RT in that add is one rare car, only made a handful, I wonder if its till around............... Blackwell Motor Co. is in Danville, VA (was No. Union St renamed? can't find that street/location) per GG: 9 automatic WS23R0s built - I know of one in FJ5 (its rumored history does not include VA) could there be more than 1?

Lets answer the original question
1969 B body RM21M D21 - 388 RM21M D32 - 227
RM23M D21 - 422 RM23M D32 - 375
WM21M D21 - 267 WM21M D32 - 153
WM23M D21 - 826 WM23M D32 - 661
1970 B Body RM21V D21 - 429 RM21V D32 - 222
RM23V D21 - 697 RM23V D32 - 433
RM27V D21 - 20 RM27V D32 - 14
RS23V D21 - 350 RS23V D32 - 328
WM21V D21 - 109 WM21V D32 - 87
WM23V D21 - 599 WM23V D32 - 473
WS23V D21 - 97 WS23V D32 - 97
WS27V D21 - 7 WS27V D32 - 9
XS29V D21 - 347 XS29V D32 - 337
1970 E Body JS23V D21 - 847 JS23V D32 - 793
JS27V D21 - 61 JS27V D32 - 38
JS29V D21 - 135 JS29V D32 - 161
BS23V D21 - 902 BS23V D32 - 853
BS27V D21 - 17 BS27V D32 - 12
1971 B Body RM23V D21 - 137 RM23V D32 - 109
RS23V D21 - 62 RS23V D32 - 73
WM23V D21 - 30 WM23V D32 - 69
WS23V D21 - 80 WS23V D32 - 98
1971 E Body JS23V D21 - 127 JS23V D32 - 119
BS23V D21 - 108 BS23V D32 - 129
BS27V D21 - 5 BS27V D32 - 12
SO IT LOOKS LIKE 1. 1971 'cuda440+6 convertible 4 speed - 5 2. 1970 Coronet R/T convertible 4 speed - 7 3. 1970 Coronet R/T convertible Automatic - 9
Thanks for the list! That answered my question perfectly!!!!
I'm obviously asking about make and model, not specific optioned cars.
The A12 "Mod Top" may be one of the rarest "optioned" 6BBL built, but not the rarest based on model and the corresponding numbers produced.
FYI you did forget to list the C body SFGT 6BBL -66 produced.
I suppose the question which is more interesting for members is; What is the rarest 6BBL/6-Pack car based on make, model, and options?

To me it got to be more than just a vinyl top. Options that are rare in themselves AND desirable Rubber bumpers Louvers N96 N94 Sunroof Rare color Floral top Odd stripe color 4spd Etc....

Challenger T/A Pilot Car. This is supposed to be it: Lots of purple T/A's. Build order (Last, First, Pilot, Promo...) by itself is not rare. The way those cars are optioned many times makes them rare.

Such an insignificant, run-of-the-mill car that at least 2 magazine articles have been done on it.

Originally Air Grabber and GoGreen? Wonder if there was a 440-6 71 Road Runner? I'd imagine less percentage of lower priced RR's than GTX's.
