I go right up on the converter which is 5600, I do
have some tire spin but its a controlled amount to
get up on the tire some

The car doesnt dead hook, if you spin a small amout
the tire doesnt squat down as hard and usually will
get a better 60'. Look at the PS, funny cars, top fuelers,
they are all spinning some but its that thin line of
spinning to much or not enough(this is on concrete and
dirt is some what different)

It makes the car much easier to drive. I never personally went any faster , just ran better with one less worry on staging. More good runs and few bummers

Is a transbrake any harder on the tranny when not using it, like when street driving?

no they are not except the line pressure might be higher then a normal valve body and they are manual reverse shifting pattern ....and depending on whose brake you have and its features...you might need to press the trans brake button for reverse to work...
