Good material to use and you can make em with your saw...

I saw that too. It was in Rock Auto's latest news letter on line.

The ones that I got won't work. The slot that's in them is not deep enough and the pad will still squish the pinch weld when you try to jack the car. I'm only out $7 shipped. It looks like most of the other ones for sale are similar.

Can you post the link using the composite decking? I'm not finding much doing a Google search.

Maybe I'll try a hockey puck.

years ago, i made some pinch weld pads for a floor jack from "unistrut" material. that's the stuff that comes in 8foot [and longer] lengths that have a bunch of slots in it. it is about 1 1/2" square channel, made from .100 or so thick material with rolled edges at the channel opening. i cut these in 8" [or so] lengths, and welded a plug that fit my floor jack in the middle of the piece opposite the channel opening. no padding on the top side, but these things worked surprisingly well on solid rockers, and the pinch weld lip had lots of clearance. don't know if i have pics of these or not. i'll have to check.

Not sure what you mean by "composite".
If it's the stuff made out of recycled milk bottles,
I used to run the extrusion machine that makes it.
I wouldn't trust it not to crumble or collapse under the weight.
If there is another materiel I don't think I've seen it...

I have mechanical Aptitude.
I can screw up anything.

That's what I used to manufacture.
It's made from recycled milk bottles.
I doubt it's stable enough to hold up under that weight repeatedly.

When used to build decks or picnic tables, it needs a lot of supporting structure. The wood joist at 16" on center will hold up a 2X6 board for a long time. When made into benches and pic nic tables it needs a metal sub-frame. Even then it can start to sag. Especially if left in the sun.
