The yellow caddie was really cool.
I just got home about an hour ago. I've never been to this event before. I've wanted to go for years and finally pulled the trigger this year. There are some really nasty cars at this event.
I introduced myself to nss guy; we spoke for 5 or so minutes. He's local to me and I've seen him at events for years but have never spoken with him. Come to think of it, I've never knowingly spoken with any of the members on this board in person.
Seeing Boosted GT make some passes put the Street Outlaw cars into prospective for me. If you can start to power the wheels up at the 330 foot mark, you're making some power. If you can do that but not beat a lot of other cars on the list or people from other towns, it really speaks to how stupid fast some of those cars are.
I had a blast. Shawn ran a 9.38 at 151 in the Cad

Friend of mine is running Street Outlaw there, ran a 4.59 during initial testing, has had consistent problems hooking up after that. S/F....Ken M I noticed theat Kurt changed tire dragging machines after Pro Mod and that may have changed the track for some.

Doug congrats on the good day for sure. Enjoyed talking to you.
Yes the Red Vette was there and running like poo...We have been chasing an issue since Friday night qualifying in Chicago. We assumed the issue was a tire issue. Unfortunately that is not the case. So chased it all weekend. Car just would not respond to any changes to the chassis we threw its way. Looks like we have a bad rear shock so we just did the best we could. Worst 60's we have had in years with that car. Only good news was it was working pretty well from 1/8 on just could not get the 330' down to where it should be. You know its bad when in Q3 everyone sets a personal best and for the first time EVER we blew the tires off. That car has never done that.
Car is headed to Vegas now for some changes and hopefully we can get the shocks turned around quick. Odd ball shock size to be sure. Oh yeah and having to race Thiessen Rd2 was not our best option If we could have qualified where we should have we had a better path for sure...Oh well on to Fontana and then we have no idea for next year as we hear it may be done out west..

Oh yeah that Caddy is bad a$$ for sure. He was pitted down the row from us. The cool factor is way up there with that one. And not my car. Just know it very intimately. Ryan is the driver and owner. No normal sized human can get into a Vette with a funny car cage Here is a video of RD1 Usually we are back on the bars and 60' 1.13 or so. This was a pathetic 1.169 https://www.facebook.com/NMCANationals/
