That's a bummer, I've been waiting to see the Charger all fixed up, it was looking good last time I saw him post pics of it.

I believe Tim and Nick both went the way of selling their chargers to fund other endeavors.
I always liked looking at his website of the crazy things him and his buddies did with cars, mail jeeps, etc.

That is a bummer Nick sold the Charger. I don't think he could ever decide what he wanted to do with it.

Got an email from Rich today, I suppose it's time to check in. Yes, the Charger is gone. Jeff is right, I could never make up my mind with what I wanted to do. If money wasn't a factor it would've been a low 9 second street car, with a g-force 5 speed, and a big inch Hemi on nitrous. But the further I got along in the "resto", I realized exactly what I could and couldn't afford. That vision then became a 11 second car, completely stock appearing save for some slicks and an 8pt rollbar. Unfortunately my credit card debt kept mounting, I'd hadn't driven the car since 2005, and everything I'd attempted to work on myself didn't turn out as planned...which was really, really frustrating. I hadn't even touched it, save for moving it from my old house to the place I just bought, since September of 07. I put it up for sale in the classifieds, and a dude from Iowa bought it with everything car-related I had. Looking back, I should've left it a ratty street car. I had an incredible amount of fun daily driving a V-gate, 4.30 geared, open exhaust 509 camm'd '68 Charger that was primered, rusty and had no interior. After Bob did the bodywork I was terrified to touch it. Oh well... live and learn. I don't even want to think about how much I had wrapped up in it. Now I've got a cute little 1200 square foot bungalow in Redford, a couple cheap motorcycles ('74 CB550 for street duty, a lil indian minibike, and a full-tilt CR500 that scares me far more than any car I've ever driven), and I just picked up a '68 Caddy I found for dirt cheap on craigslist. The best part, living debt free save for a couple years left on the truck, and the house. I miss the car hobby immensely, and maybe someday I'll pick up another old Mopar... but for now I'll just be happy with the memories I have, and think of all of the cool people I've met along the way. -Nick My house/riding one of the minibikes: The 2 wheeled family: Caddy:

Does a bear poop in the woods? Switched up the bikes, now have an 07 450X for a dirtbike, and I bought a fresh out of the crate 2011 Harley Road King Classic. Caddy is long gone, too. It was too much of a pile, and I felt dirty driving it most of the time. I still want another Mopar at some point besides my Ram. Every couple months I stop by and cruise the classifieds as well as Craigslist. I keep looking for Imperials and 300's but nothing has really caught my eye, and my garage isn't big enough for any car and the pile of bikes anyway. Current money pit: Got the girlfriend into riding as well, she has a '74 CB125 and an '05 150F dirtbike. I miss anything in the last year?

Thanks guys! Jim, you'll have to call me when you get up here next year. I'll ride up there on the bike for sure. BTW, these are pics of my Charger after the new owner finished it: He used the motor I sold with it out of my Imperial, and now has a keisler 5 speed. I'd be lying if I said I didn't want it back. I definitely regret it at this point.

Nice to see you stop in Nick. I was really excited to see you finish you Charger mainly because I liked your vision. It was way cool when it was a rat with open headers and an inline shifter. That was back when I had my gutted '66 with the 4.30's, open exhaust, and a .557 cam'd 915 headed 448. I painted my car was well and it's been driven maybe 5 thousand miles over a few different combination's that were under the hood. I should have left the patina on it and continued to drive it to the grocery store, bars, and down gravel roads. Lately I've been missing my ratty old a-body too! My favorite ride is my beater W100 that doesn't mind if I set a beer on the hood or shoot the AR-15 using the cab as a rest. Thanks again for stopping in! Edit...after looking over your old car why does it have power brakes, A/C, and the battery in the engine bay?

I see you finally made it to Oregon, too! I dig the truck... any pics of the 66 after paint? I need another beater for sure. The Harley is fun, but it's too nice. I miss the days of daily driving my Charger, Imperial and 300. I still remember driving the Charger in wintertime on Hoosiers, and with the solid motor mounts the roof would vibrate like crazy right off idle. I also remember not having the reverse shift rod hooked up for a year, and having to choose my parking spots carefully! To a lesser extent I miss the Jeep too, but now I look back on it and realize exactly how unsafe that vehicle was. Whoops. The new owner put power steering, power brakes, A/C, and a stereo in it. It's super nice, but nowhere near as primitive as I would've made it.
