I just bought a set for my DD 83 D 250 (318) Nice heads; I am putting an RV cam in as well (smaller than I otherwise might considering the 1.6 RR the Magnum heads use vs the LA 1.5s; if you look, the standard 360 (non HP) is pretty much identical to a COMP 252 only with 0.015" less lift. Big deal; but T can get the 360 cam for 1/2 the price of the Comp around here; this is not a race motor but a heavy truck that occasionally gets USED like one! I have more $$$ in used Magnum heads and machine shop fees to find out the OE Mag heads are invariably cracked. (I have 5 cracked boat anchors sitting here as we speak and you don't wanna know how much $$ I have in them---wasted--- more than the pair of EQ heads cost me for sure.
These are the exact same heads as some sell as "Iron Rams".

Here's the EQ National sales director;I got a bit better deal than you show in an above post from this guy; NO middleman involved;

People don't realize that the time & money you spend looking for good castings ( Gas, Time, checking for cracks) you would be better of with new castings. Matt

Do the EQ heads require special headers? Do the EQB heads accept a stock LA intake?

You can run the standard TTI headers in addition to other LA exhaust port headers with the EQs. I have also seen people run the stock 340 exhaust manifolds with the EQ heads without needing adapters like you would with stock magnum heads.

If you use CompCams screw in studs and guide plates. You can use any 1.6 rocker for a small chevy. I just had a pair done by Ryan@ ShadyDell.
Stage 3 porting flowed 269@.600intake 201 exhaust.

Wow.. Ryan got that exhaust side moving some air.... I would love to see a pic of the port??? Here is my handiwork after catching a buzz breathing cast iron dust! TBF

201 is nothing special.... Besides Ex ports are'nt where power is made, don't get too hung up on exhaust #'s.

Magnum R/T's have been discontinued & I was told they will not be re-released.

I actually like the MP Aluminum magnum head other than the ridiculous cost, it's basically the Commando head with 8MM guides & Magnum rocker system & VC rail. I've got a set out there running 10.70's on a very mild Hyd roller 360 Crate motor in a 3200# Dart. But at same time I have a set of unported (VJ only) Mag R/T's running 10.90's in 3200# Dart as well at 365 inches with a mild Hyd roller so.....

There are alot of factors other than flow #s that go into making power so don't get caught up in #'s game All those heads can make really good power when properly done up & put in the proper combination.

$560 for a pair of brand new heads fully machined with hardened seats....... that's cheap.

The new RHS/INDY X heads are little more $ & are avail assembled. They are also avail with LA rocker gear provision if that's what you're after.

Where can you buy them for $560? I see the bare heads on the EQ website for $349 each...

These do seem like a good bang for the buck on a street/strip deal. Makes me wanna build a 360 on the cheap in a (getting cheaper) A-body and see if I can get in the 11's in TOTAL street trim...

The RHS/Indy X head is not available yet, right? Any clue as what the pricing might be??
