Thanks, I head stud kit I will use but will keep the tq down a bit. Maybe another good reason not to deck it any.

Robert, the slugs came with the plasma moly rings, although not file fit, I can make them so.

regular plasma Moly is good. You would check the gaps. I would dingle berry hone it & you might read "breakin secrets" at www.mototuneusa.com their take is you have ONE shot during breakin to get an excellent ring seal/good leakdown numbers as opposed to "good" numbers.

Ive been hellbent on using the new 318 castings ive got mainly because so much of what ive read has said a head like a 2.02J was just too much and would cost tq, down low.

I like real world testing and figures and although this is from a mag. I do think it has some credibility to it.

http://www.hotrod.com/articles/mopp-0311-318-engine-buildup-and-dyno-test/

In this article I see the 2.02 heads as only an improvement over the 318 heads across the whole spectrum.

And the 2.02 J-s I have would take about a day to get into shape vs maybe a week of grinding and valve job work.

Im getting anxious and want to get the ball rolling.
