Cliff Notes: 515 HP to the Tire Took the old girl to the dyno on Saturday, tried a few small things with jetting and timing, wasn't able to find any real power but it was interesting none the less. The dyno doesn't like the converter, it flashes to 6300 and was causing the graph to have a giant hole in it, thus why the graph has MPH on it instead. The engine never stopped pulling, on each run, peak horsepower occurred where I lifted. I pulled it to 7500 and it was still gaining. I don't ever plan to spin it beyond that so I didn't bother to rev it up more. In hindsight I probably should have tried 7800 just to see what happened and verified the valve train stability. I may do that in the spring if I make some changes this winter. Hopefully I will be taking the car out in the next few weeks with a shorter tire on it to let the car rev more. With the 30" slick now it goes through the traps about 6900. I've got a 28" radial on it that should let it sing a bit more. The switch to a radial alone should be worth about a tenth, plus whatever is gained by 2 inches less height.

It was correcting after the pull so i'll say yes.
Upper right corner on the sheet it says CF: SAE.
The first pull it made 520 and then corrected down to 513 for whatever that's worth.

New best this weekend. There were issues with water seeping up near the 1/4 mile so we only got to run 1/8th. The track also hadn't been raced on in 2 months so it was pretty green and lots of guys including me spinning the tires. I made 4 runs total, only 2 of them were good.
Incrementals OLD NEW 1.438 1.438 4.190 4.128 6.516 6.422 .09 better 104.96 106.27 1.3 MPH better 10.264 ? 130.94 ?
I estimate the car was going to run 10.10-10.12 ish at 132. Ricer math as I like to call it with just a bit of tire spin. The car went 1.41 the pass before this and 6.426 and should be capable of 1.3X using the transbrake. These runs were both footbraking.
Now the winter upgrades and diet program can begin.

I only get to chase ET a few times a year since i'm usually bracket racing. Fun to chip away at it and see results.

Nothing Engine wise, maybe port the intake.
Mostly chassis work, rear discs and lightening the car a hundred pounds or more. The engine works well, need to make things around it more efficient.

Factory coils from the junkyard.
I paid $30 for the coils, 1 valve cover and the front cover. The second valve cover was damaged.

Original goal from first post "Run 10.0's at 3350"
Car went 10.03@134 this past weekend at 3380 LBS, on bias plys, through the mufflers. 29.50 baro, 83% humidity, it was around 1000' DA if I remember correctly.
Made 18 runs on Sunday, all between 10.03-10.11.
I'll wait for the cooler fall air to come around then switch to lighter oil, radials and maybe ditch some extra weight and see how far I can go before tech officials catch onto the lack of roll cage. In previous testing the oil was worth close to a tenth and so were the radials.
Pretty pleased with the Hemi, it's won enough money to pay for itself.
