Thanks. I'm taking my first foray into solid lifters, and want to understand the upper end oiling system (without oiling through the pushrods). This helps.

The stock oiling system gives each rocker shaft one squirt of oil very every two turns of the crank. It sounds like an odd design but it works just fine for lower speed motors with moderate valve spring loads.

What kind of heads??
everything oils fine only if you go to jezzel stile rockers do you have to oil through the pushrod!

It's pretty basic. It'll have Stealth heads and see 6500-6800 RPM.

For high RPM use with heavier valve springs it's not a bad idea to have the #4 cam journal grooved so there is a constant oil supply...
