We went through 5 gallons, have not checked the oil yet but will before we go out again. What should I look for?

a little milking happens time to time, Gotta get the oil really hot to avoid it, I try to get my oil temp up to a minimum of 180 during warm up. Curtis

It needs a idle bi pass its a little rich at idle. I could have leaned it out a little with the fuel shut off. When you wack the throttle its hitting on all eight

We are running toilets on 2 cars w/ no bypasses, you gotta keep working the fuel shut off to keep it lean/ build heat and save gas, when running it on alky as soon as it fires up, pull the fuel shut-off until the rpms start coming up, even in the shut down area and return road keep it pulled and lean on the return road I usually put it in 3rd and lean it out enough to drive itself back. The only time I run mine w/ full fuel is when I'm rolling into burn out box and through to the shut down, I'll even lean it out if waiting for a bit between burnout and staging. It may seem like a lot of work, but it becomes second nature after a few hits...Now I run the primer plus so I warm it up, and drive it on Gasoline, and switch to alky when rolling into the burnout box and back to gasoline before the turn off.
Have you put a leakdown gauge on the Barrel valve yet? check out the attached link, has leakdown proceedures, pretty simple; mine is set at 26% leakdown with .014 throttle blade gap.

Thanks for the advise we will use it. we did a leak down test, our B.V is the purple one and it calls for .010-.012 throttle blade gap and 28% to 30% leak down so this is where we started. thanks again
