I believe the physics dictate that the lower CR theoretically will make more power at the same boost level. A larger volume to pack air and fuel into. More air and fuel equals more power, yes? Wrong The first blown gas hemi motor I built was bigger C.I.(499 vs 496 C.I.) with less compression ratio(7.8 to 1) and it made less HP per C.I. than the smaller motor with more compression ratio made at the same amount of boost and RPM Science and theory is one thing, reality and results in the real world is sometimes different

Compression is your friend if you run enough octane That what I'm thinking.4/5 lbs on the street on pump junk and up the octane when I change the pulley.

Nope, I have street cars for that. My Procharged SRT Challenger is over 10to1 and makes 10 pounds of boost on 93 octane. But on your deal I would stick to 9.5 to 1. Under 8 to 1 is just not efficient and your giving up power. I think your right, I would think at least 9, you have plenty of power for the street (and you don't seem over concerned with that anyways) and no one wants it to be a turd at the track
