I know there has been recent posts about this topic, but I couldn't find them. I came across another company in Amarillo, Texas. 806 Customs, Performance and Autocare. Chroming and hydro dipping. Looks like they do decent work. Messaged about my glass bumpers. They get $750 for the pair including stripping and prep work, since mine are already painted. Takes about a month. They look like they do pretty decent work and have a good reputation. Anyone know anything about this company.

Are you comfortable with a spray gun? There's some stuff out there that works great

You can get chrome vinyl wrap from amazon.

Except for spray cans, never sprayed before in my life. And I can't find anyone local who can do this either.

This guy did cuda dons bumpers here and supposedly did a awesome job. He posted close ups and they look really nice.

Apparently the chroming paint that is out there is yellowing after some time in the sun.

The wrap has me very interested! Do they sell it in a long/wide enough roll to do a car bumper in one shot?

Does one apply heat to cure it? I assume it has an adhesive backing?

I've seen the same results with wraps. As far as spray on yellowing in the sun, the car is only outside on race days or for a wash up.

a competent wrapper can do it with NO WRINKLES.

It looks like about $100 worth of the 3m stuff would do two b-body bumpers. I'm very tempted to give it a try on our black car.

One guy in town who can do it wants $450 bumper to wrap it. Too rich for my blood.

Might just have them shot in silver and cleared. My paint and body guy owes me a favor, anyway.

I would love to see somebody wrap one without wrinkles around the ends. Would give me hope.

I wrapped my Avenger. It sucked. But it was the whole car. I just peeled it and am doing paint and body now.
If you had a couple friends over and watched a few vids on YouTube you can get decent results.
The materials are cheep enough. The blue chrome faded to a gray. The red chrome didn't fade.

Here is my bumper that was wrapped a couple of years ago. There are no wrinkles in it,although he did tell me it was a PITA to do the corners. He charged me $275. He brought it to the Drag Expo and put it in a booth before he gave it to me. He put out probably a 100 business cards next to it,with everyone of them being taken. I saw his dad 2 months later and said he didn't get one job from all those tire kickers. He has since moved away to go to college.

My BIL did a bumper and said he would never do it again (he does emergency vehicles wraps for a living) and said you could not pay him enough to do it again because it was such a PITA.
