Getting going on Gbob's new engine build. Was a 4.380x4.15 MP crate short block with a roller cam, maybe 10:1 compression, cnc ported edelbrock heads, 2" hookers, 950HP carb, etc.....
We are going to be using Edelbrocks new victor MW heads for this build and looking for an honest 700-720HP. Going to use the same cam over, bore it to 4.400, same crank, same rods, custom ross dome pistons for 13:1. Same headers, 1050 dommy, and some nice TD 1.7 rockers. Here are some pics of what we have going on right now. Brian

That should really put some punch into the combo, especially with the cam ~265 degrees duration @0.050"

I will be taking pics as I go with the porting and engine build. I think it will be helpfull for guys considering the edelbrock victors.
Yes, especially with the 1.7 ratio. I expect you will get at least 355 cfm.
Get some pics of the pushrod hole area in the outside of the intake port.

I will get those pics for sure I'm going to start assembling the short block Tuesday, so I'll get pics of that, plus the head work as I go. I think 360 cfm should be pretty easy. My conscern is this super victor intake. The plenum looks small, and the runner entry's are small with very little taper in the ports. Time will tell.....

Using the 1.7's, do you think you will have to clearance the heads?

Probably, but I'm not really sure what to expect. I'll post whatever I do so others can see.
We might be testing a couple different intakes too! Brian
