67 427 came with 7.75 I think

68 was the first year of the letter sizing.

I think the 68 427 vette in the shop has f-70-15

GM more commonly used virtually the same G-70-15 with the thin whitewall. This one on a GM rim would be a good candidate to do the whitewall red, put it on an H-rim and have a great looking spare in the trunk.

Thought I'd do an update. Bought a set of 4 on the second run. There was a slight decrease in price from the first run with a group buy.

Pretty happy with the tires, fonts are pretty good. I am not going to be too critical as my spare has been used and abused over the last 40 years. I am wondering why the "replaces 4 ply rating" the letters seem filled in on the original and are only outlined on the repops?, as can be seen on the pics, and a few other differences with the layout spacing, that can be seen.

Is it a lot of money?, sure no doubt, but so is $2500 for an aircleaner, 1k for a 054 rad, 20k paint jobs, $500 per date coded correct H rim, 2k for finish panel, grille/headlight restorations, ect, ect., I guess you can see where I am going.

The A12's came with Goodyears and never before have these tires been offered. Will the tires come down in price, probably, but I am doing the car now and don't have a crystal ball handy.

Rick.
