here is what a REAL 66 Dodge VIN tag looks like, that one is NOT , I wouldn't trust the numbers that are on it .

And for non-convertibles 67 Deluxes used the same quarters as a 66.

I don't think that is a legit vin tag. Wasn't the 66 vin tag same as a 65 but with rivets where 65 was just spot welded?

Here is something to get you going in the right direction.

The VIN tag look incorrect. I'd guess it was laser engraved sometime after Barney aired on TV. Other '67 tags lok like that?

That said the LA (IIRC) cars I have/had did not always use rivets on the VIN tag. Some of them seem to be adhered in place with open holes where the rivets would go. Perhaps it was lost and they remade it for that purpose.

I hope you don't mean 12K. It's going to be interesting with the non original VIN tag.

That fake VIN tag should be a huge red flag I'd think...

If you bought the car with that tag in place, you should try to get your money back immediately.

If the seller says no, then you have easy grounds for a lawsuit.

Uh, John & Barry - I'm fully aware there's no year on fender tag SPD, I was referring to the combination of SPD, VIN sequence, and OP statement of being a '66. Same deal with the Poly "saying" 1966, meaning in '67 a US car would not have a Poly 318.

Those guys are the real deal. On the vert Troop D state police say the car is good to go. It was last tagged in 2011. I think Snowden may have given vin plate to Putin who gave it to Trump. I can get it from him. LOL What is a rose rivet?
