Lenny's has been behind motors ranging from 446-512 in my Arrow and has been flawless. This is without a dyno sheet so I'm sure there might be more in it. He picked up 5 mph in the original Hughes the first time he touched it. I had Lenny build a 8" converter for my 408 after I killed my 9.5" $450 Edge racing Converter. It never 60' within .1 of the Edge and .2 in the 1/8. After building and dynoing my 434 I called Lenny and talked about my converter. He said it should be good, so I tried it, 18% slip in the 1/8. So I call him back and he says it's to loose and to send it back. He tightened it up 500 rpms (at almost $275) 5100 from 5600. I ran a best of 1.38 several times with the 408 and a $450 9.5" Edge converter. After adding 100+ HP and probably that much torgue, plus spending over $1500 on a converter from Ultimate I have ran a best 60' of 1.44. I'll look elsewhere for my converters. Surprising.....I've only heard of one other customer who didn't get the results they wanted from UCC. Sorry to hear that.

IMO, and I'm not saying it "should" be this way, but seems like it is more often than not....... It always feels like it's a crap shoot no matter which converter place you choose.

cannot disagree with you at all, there are a lot of converter company's out there and they have their good's and bad's or should I say their happy customers and their not so happy customers I posted this subject to get a feel of what the people have to say good or bad about certain ones and after reading the responses I kind of had my mind made up who was going to get my business, sometimes you just have to go with your gut feeling and roll the dice.

That's all you can do.

Been extremely happy w/my 14+ year old 8" Continental vert but have nothing to compare it to.............never gets hot, slippage SEEMS minimal but who knows.......... so far the best vert I ever ran was a custom TCI that I ran behind 2 motors and did it for 14 years, best 60ft best ET and only 4% slippage up to the day I took it out, I then bought and installed one from a local converter builder and it has done well, not quite as good 60ft and et but it was more consistant, my problem is getting away to go see him and discuss the new one, working 10 hours a day and Saturdays limits my free time.

Pick one and hope for the best. seems like Lenny has a pretty good following and reputation.
