My favourite part for the last 7 years has been the google search tab at the top of the page. Most topics or questions I have in my head have all been beaten to death over the years. It makes a great encyclopedia. New parts on the market threads or the weight loss thread are still good current reads. Boring? I wouldn't know. This site has been a daily stop in for 17 years for me. It's just habit now. Of anything I find the rip/bad health news posts depressing now that so many of ya'all are getting old and are dying off or getting sick.

Cam bearing posts, more cam bearing posts, efi posts, 273 and 318 heads, how's this intake, ect, ect, ect. Man it's going to be a long Winter. No kidding.....Not to mention, how long it takes to get my parts lately. Thought it was just me about some of the posts. Can't really help with making it less boring right now. Waiting on Hemi parts...And nobody wants my Duster so I can't buy a different car I have all picked out, so I am out..... And the cat thing, that's disturbing....the mental picture, just wrong!

Went racing today. Street Car takeover at Wild Horse Pass. Loaded up all my stuff in the car, drove the valiant to the track. Unloaded all my stuff, pulled the exhaust. Made 5 passes, put the exhaust back on, loaded all the stuff back in the car, then drove home. I'm wore plum out. Its crazy how a day at the track can be so tiring. Before I retired my 2 worst days of the week were Sundays and Monday as these were down days in our strip mill. Sometimes I never left the track till 1am to make the drive home (1 hour) and I had to leave home at 5am for my 6-2 shift. Sure glad I don't have to do that anymore.

That won't work, the wife left me years ago and my Cat is off licking himself somewhere. Maybe some ice creme will help.
Ice cream helps. But if you could learn to do what the cat does, time would go by a little quicker for you. ![haha haha](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/haha.gif)

Most of the combos built on here have been done plenty of times, since the same heads etc have been around for quite some time. That allows for a lot of answers answered by search, I would think. Also, some of the new (relatively) stuff, like predators, can be pricy, making for a low number of builds done. A poor economy and low income for a bigger chunk of the middle class has hurt a bunch I will bet. Just look at the car counts at the race track. No mun, less fun ![frown frown](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/frown.gif)

I made a post on learning to read track conditions, here and the Bullet. No response. Maybe it's the time of year. Doug I read that.... but you're in a different league than my operation so I really wouldn't have anything to contribute. Most of our stuff is quite suited to the track conditions "as is", although I am learning the virtue of not trying to hit a colder track with as much hit, and decreasing the burnout substantially when it's blazing hot.

At almost 61 years old I'm to old to be lifting those heavy POS cast iron heads. The bench is set up for small block mopar heads right now and my next testing will be to plug the pushrod holes and first do some testing pushing the pinch over .200-.220 then I will go .350 over. My Edelbrocks are around 315 cfm with a 2.08 valve and stock pushrod location. Harlan Sharp made me custom rockers at .350 but I could have saved 15.00 per rocker at .220 and I want to see if its worthwhile going the extra distance.

I have to laugh at posts like this. People working on stuff have questions about projects. Shocker- they come to a car forum and ask. Duh. Guess if people dont know EXACTLY the same things you already do they arent welcome here. If you dont like it, stick to the general section. Seems pretty easy to me. ![shruggy shruggy](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/shruggy.gif)

So, bring up something new. CFE has new offset bore Chevy blocks. Now small block Chevy motors can go as large as 4.600", big blocks as large as 5.000" bore without moving centerline. How can that technology be applied to Mopar blocks? How great would that be? And us Mopar guys can't even get a decent R3 replacement
