If you don't change the heads the regular pass-car water pump housing might not fit. Even if it does, if you just block the water outlet holes in the heads they'd probably trap a BIG air pocket in there causing problems. The pistons have a DEEP dish, you could bake a pizza in there! That means low compression, even lower than it started with. The HD heads are closed chamber. The block, crank and rods are standard spec parts though (some cranks have 8-bolt flange). Piston weight is very close to a stock 440.
