Hood was about 2mph over.hemi hood scoop..lexan in grill 1.5 mph..air dam not proven yet.also the lower the car gets the faster it goes..I spent a lot of time with brakes.. shimming them radius the corners on the pads..running front hubs a little loose.. so when it comes down off the Wheelie it has a tendency.to knock the pads back.. the big thing I'm working on now is trying to speed up the reaction time with leaf springs.. the fox body Mustangs kill all the leaf spring cars in our class.. even with the caltracs there's a lot of movement that has to happen before the car moves... all these improvements were seen in Eight Mile racing...

Yeah, pretty much what the subject line states. Can the addition of a front spoiler to reduce air under the car, or some other aerodynamic improvements I haven't thought of, improve ET?
Thanks - Brad I own an 04 X-fire that has front and rear belly pans. Front extends well past the front axle and the rear goes to the rear axle. Rear spoiler deploys at 62 MPH. I have had this car to 130 indicated on the speedo ( 160 speedo ) and it is very stable at that speed for a short WB car.

Doesn't matter how fast you go. You just have to be faster than the other guy. And have a running car.... Hey, I'm getting closer! I'm pretty sure that was directed at me. EDIT: FWIW, I found some really old test of front / front & rear / rear spoilers as done on a '69 Camaro. If nothing else, it showed that anything effective you do the rear-only will result in more front-end lift at speed, which is NOT what I want. The front-only spoiler reduced the amount of front-end lift at speed better than the front & rear combination, so I'm only looking into front spoilers / air dams / etc. that apply to reducing the air getting under the car from the front.

Thanks - Brad what are the improvements that you have thought of I am always looking for things to try... Things I was also curious about have been touched on above: - Creating some type of panel to keep air going under the front valence from getting sucked up into the engine bay - Blocking off extra air coming through the grill other than what's necessary to keep the engine temp under control Nothing really "out of the box", but things I figured made sense without knowing whether they had been proven to help improve MPH by reducing drag.
