We have Grudge night at our track on Friday nights and probably 90% of the cars are street cars. I can assure you they all have antifreeze in the radiator!
'63 Dodge 330 11.19 @ 121 mph Pump gas, n/a, through the mufflers on street tires with 3.54's. 3,600 lbs. 10.01 @ 133mph with a 250 shot of nitrous an a splash of race gas. 1.36 60 ft. 3,700 lbs.

And the biggest complaint at keystone during these events is the time spent cleaning the track. Imagine that

And it really doesn't matter UNTIL one of them pukes water on the track, then it is nearly impossible to clean up. You don't need a helmet either unless you crash, but most wear one

Body work slide hammer works great for removing stakes that hold boosters in dominator carbs. Or you can just blow them out of thencarbnwith a nitrous backfire....lol slide hammer works better, well maybe not better but causes less damage

As a kid back many years ago in 20 degree below Nebraska winters you could run the high priced Xerex or Prestone antifreezes. To save a few bucks you could run the cheap stuff(not recalling well,,,,but think alcohol based). Yea it did the job of not freezing,,,,but if your engine ever got hot,,,,think stuck in the mud or a snowdrift,,,,it would boil away in.a flash. Most drivers learned that the high priced spread was far cheaper once they had to replenish the cheap stuff that had boiled away,,,,or worse their engine or radiators that had busted open because they had replenished with water.
You certainly had to replace the stuff when warmer weather came about. Whereas glycol based products increased boiling points, the cheaper products actually deceased them.
Not to mention the anti corrosive benefits of the expensive mix.
Do does anyone still sell this stuff anymore,,,,,except for windshield washers, I don't know. Lol.
