I just purchased a 1987 D100. I'm thinking about swapping in an Edelbrock performer intake and 1406 carb. IfI do this can I still leave the ESC computer and distributor hooked up? The carb is not a feedback one and I have no o2 sensor.

I kinda thought it could work. It doesn't have a feedback carb, so it should run o.k.

done a few of them. feed back carbs or tbi I swap to a early model wire harness then by-pass the ecu.

myself on earlier models, I always by-pass the ecu with a stock points dist and pertronix points conversion.

well I do use the FBO mech advance limiter plate and spring kit in there also.

Recently bought an 86 D150. It already has the performer intake and 1406, and they still had the factory esc computer and distributor it was running fine...so shouldn't be a problem!
