I need help!!! I've got an original Hemi Cuda in the shop........It's got power steering........but it had the incorrect pump, so the owner bought a "correct" pump and I had it rebuilt..........It had a pulley that measured about 6 3/4" OD and the belt wouldn't line up correctly, so I bought a repop correct pulley from Bouchillon that measures about 6 1/4" OD and it still doesn't line up......... After talking to Bouchillon, it's obvious that I don't have the correct crank pulley either (since a Hemi pulley has different OD's for the PS and water pump and mine doesn't), and I'm thinking that the water pump pulley and alternator brackets are wrong too??? Plus, this has an aftermarket balancer on it........ I've attached some pics so maybe someone can point me in the right direction........ So, I guess my question is; If I get the correct crank pulley and I'm assuming there's Hemi specific water pump pulley and I get that, will it all work together with the balancer I already have? I'm also assuming that I need Hemi alternator bracketry too??? For your info, my crank pulley measures about 2 3/8" from the balancer flange to the top........It measures 1 5/16" from the blancer flange to the center of the first groove and 2 1/16" from the balancer flange to the center of the second groove.........

Wayne , looks like it has non hemi waterpump and a lower pulley from a 66-68 hemi if it has a stock hemi balancer ? the 70 hemi had a larger gap between the waterpump pulley and the water pump bolts , that LOOKS to me , from the angle of the pics , it be the non hemi water pump pulley which is what 66-68 hemis used . ??? edit ... ok I just read what you posted , let me guess FLUID DAMPNER ??? that's the combo I'm using on my hemi , NO power steering for me ... Does the guy want it all CORRECT and STOCK looking ?

You have the correct PS pump/brackets and what appears to be the correct repro pulley on it. The water pump pulley is wrong for that application though. You can a repro of the correct one luckily. The correct style crank pulley is available repro, but it is designed to work with a stock dampener. This is where you are going to have problems until you get the correct dampener on it. The alt brackets are not different to a hemi. They just use a dual pulley on the alt and run the belt in the outer groove.
Dirk he can use that balancer if he buys the spacer that MP sells for crate motors since they are supplied with the THIN dampner , or makes it , and get the repop waterpump pulley , lower pulley , and the correct alt pulley ...
Wayne , gibson/badalsen sell a repop hemi dampner , it's $450 me thinks , but you'll still need the correct pulleys

Wow............what a basket of worms......... I should have mentioned that I don't think this is an original balancer because it's marked in 2 degree increments like most aftermarket ones......... So, I guess there isn't a PS pump pulley that'll line up with what I have??? Quote:

Do you happen to have the part number for the spacer???............and nobody sells the alternator pulley?
The guy wants it to look stock, but I'm not sure how much he's going to want to spend.........

Wayne do you have a big block federal pump with pulley kicking around ? If so I think that pulley will work with what is there since the water pump location does not change no matter what the block is , wedge or hemi . It will only not look stock to the TRAINED EYE .
Otherwise he'll need the spacer (if it's not a stock Hemi Dampner??? as dirk is suggesting and he may be right as a fluid dampner will not have balance holes drilled in the front like that one does) and ALL new pulleys , or the spacer and a 66-68 hemi pulley to use what he has .
My MP catalog is too old for that spacer part number .
