What happen !?

It smoked a little out the right side exhaust..
every time I have had those heads on it smokes
a little.. I thought I had it fixed(a hole in the
intake runner).. it was just super thin where I
clearanced the push rod.. I tubed that but there
must be something else
wave

And you pressure tested them ???

Pressure testing them is good for water issues, not oil issues. From what I've read the W5's are porous to start with then we add porting. It could be leaking from a valve spring pocket, bolt hole, pushrod pinch, or about any where else oil is close to.

The one thing that I know is its getting oil into
the cyl.. so if I were to leak check the intake
system It should show up.. have to have a plate on
the head mounting surface another on the intake surface
then pressurize it and maybe spray it with soapy water
to look for air... but I think I would have to use clamps
and not bolt for the head plate to watch the bolt holes..
dont really care right now.. I just want it on the street
and running clean.. and strong

I am REALLY surprised that you hopped on this train. Most of the guys I know that ran W5's moved on.

considering I messaged you concerning W8 intake gaskets awhile back.... I find it hard to believe you went this route. I know the guy that bought one of my top ends is starting to assemble, so I'll let him know. W5 isn't even a good place to be from in my experience.

If I ever find a virgin blue plug I will tread carefully in known water areas, sonic check often, and weld up other areas for needed volume space. I will also pour the water passages with (WaterGlass) to address porosity issues

I've had W-5 in my ear way more times than W-8. I'm a big block guy and don't know what the popular SB heads are or what gasket can fit multiple heads?
I appreciate you dropping a line to the W-5 user thumbs

Are the SB Victors their own animal also or will a 360-1 or some other have the same pattern?

I do good just to get stuff cut, inspected, packaged, shipped out the door and keeping track of invoicing. Won't even mention the million other things that come into play running a business runaway
