Paul_Fancsali master P Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 2,931	You say the oil is black but is it black on a white paper towel oil always changes color when its been run in engine Not questioning your reasoning just seems funny its bad that soon. I can tell you in winter around Pa the oil will get dark real quick with short trips and plenty of cold

Jeremiah OP master Joined: Mar 2003 Posts: 9,108 Rogue River, OR	The oil is not black sludge, just very dark. I have never used an oil that did this before but it sounds like it is typical with newer cars.
