$100k race car on an open trailer seems bizarre I can't imagine stopping for gas. I get every idiot coming up to me asking what motor it has, how fast it is, telling me about an uncle's Mustang... ...it's even worse when you're on TV. You have to be nice to everyone!

Chief and Shawn have talked about it on a few of their podcasts, some of their fan interactions makes me feel bad for them.

Kidding, one of the humblest guys I've met in this sport. I'm nobody and he seemed happy to shoot the [censored] with my brother and I at GLD last year. Got my favorite hat from him Totally agree, I hung out with Monte in Orlando one day during a Mickey Thompson test session, dude is cool as heck. He even answered some questions for me and explained some of the tuning he was doing to a car down there.

I hate to see that happen to anyone, and I'm aware that 727 explosions are just as, if not more violent. Just a graphic example to all the newbies jumping on the Turbo 400 band wagon. If it's not an aftermarket case Rossler, I wouldn't have one! They are not all created equally...
Once again...not a brand specific rant..it's just that I've seen this happen often enough with the center support of a turbo 400 that they frighten me. Be careful out there guys, if you don't have an sfi case, run a shield. Glad to hear he's ok.
Hitting below the belt...probably.
