I agree. He's fighting the problem I had. 60 ft. I added a cal-trac mono-leaf system. I should call the guy that bought the car and see if it helped.

That's awesome Buddy!!

Step up the jets, 2 sizes at a time....until it slows down.

Any mods to the Street Dominator? I might still have the ported SD manifold from my 508 you can try out

Is it an RB?!

I emailed Modern about having mine ported but it would be awesome to try one out first!

Mine has zero mods.

You should be able to get that suspension dailed in also. You can see that this setup is all I run which is the 3400 lb SS springs and a set of used longer MP shocks that the late great Randy had given me. Thats all I use in the back and up front the suspension is all stock other then the Comp Engineering 90/10 shocks. One thing I found very important for me is to make sure I line up in the grove when I stage. Course thats where everyone has been launching at as you can always see it real easy at our tracks. It makes a big difference if I dont line up in the grove but as long as I do it hooks very good for what it is. I mean it ran the same 10.76 et three passes in a row one day and I dont even use the tach when shifting as I shift by the feel of how the eng is pulling. But honestly my suspension is so stock and simple and yet it hooks good on 9" radial slicks. Ron

I dont mean this trying to be smart but I know how easy it is to not pay attention to staging the car in the grove. I know I get worked up once the burnout to heat the tires gets going and I have caught myself just rolling up and staging and not paying attention to be staging in the grove. It seems I hook great as long as I stage in the grove where all the other cars are launching. I know you will have that bad boy in the 10's soon as you cant hold that Mopar power back for long. Ron

Very good advice, Ron. thumbs

I'm looking forward to a well prepped track next weekend as almost everyone I talked to said the track went away as the night went on.

Daytime bracket racing on the 14th!

I do not own a trailer currently. I had a nice 18' dovetail and sold it a few years ago as other people were using it more than me. I also moved into a neighborhood where I couldn't have one sitting out.

I do have friends that loan me trailers for trips over 50 miles. That's about as far as I want to drive it at this point. It's more than capable of going further but tracks like Tulsa, Heartland Park, Mo-Kan and Great Bend are more than 2+ hours away and my '09 Cummins is much more comfortable. LOL!

Cool Car!

Check your front end travel it should have about 5.5". If you need to gain some travel trim the upper control arm bump stops. You don't have a sway bar do you? If you do disconnect it because it will limit travel. For the rear of the car start by flipping the front hanger to get the back of the car lower or get a set of adjustable front hangers from AR Engineering. Don't forget to correct pinion angle. You also want to be sure that your not topping out the rear shock before the suspension travel is done. If the budget allows adjustable shocks are the way to go. Your definitely heading in the right direction. 11.00's-10.90's are in your future.

I did remove the upper control arm bump stops to get more travel. That and the 90/10 shocks helped significantly! Right after those changes is where I got the 1.60 60 ft. on a well prepped track. No sway bar and 6 cylinder torsion bars. I considered flipping the front spring hangers as I did file out the holes to do that in the past and played with ride height before latest motor went in.

Adjustable shocks for the rear are on the radar.

I just flipped the front spring hangers. I also took the time to lube up the bolts and springs so they work easily.

I agree about going to tracks that are over an hr away. I love driving my car to the track as its always fun to just pump a little air back in my rear tires and then just drive home when all the other guys are crawling under their trailers tieing their cars down. But like you when I went to a race that was two hrs drive I was afraid to race that far from home and worry that if I broke I had no way home. The closer tracks I could get my brother to come tow me home or to his house if I broke but when I went to MIR thats about two hrs away I got a good friend from the "Forbbodiesonly" site to tow me. He offered to tow me and then would not take any gas money from me. What a nice guy he is as thats so cool that he is another Mopar guy in the hobby that is so nice and a first class act. But he towed me to MIR in 2014 which was the last time I have been to the track. I hope to go to Cecil on June the 11th this year which is close to my brothers house so I will drive the 45 miles to that track. And I also agree a Cummins truck with AC is much nicer to ride in when its very hot out. So I definetly dont blame you for getting a tow to the track when its a little on the far side. wave Ron

I guess I'll be the wet blanket here.....
While I agree the car is running great for the combo, I feel that if it really has a converter that only flashes to 2800, coupled with the 3.55 gears, I think getting to 60' time low enough to dip into the tens might be a chore.
If the car isn't "dead hooking" now, then there is obviously more left in it, but once you get it to dead hook, the 60' is what it is....... If that's not near the bottom of the 1.50's, 10's might remain out of reach, until you can get the car to "overachieve" in the mph dept.

None of this is meant to take away from how the car is running now, I'm just pointing out that 10's mph doesn't always mean you'll run 10's.

It keeps improving and I have yet to tune on the engine at all! I totally get what you are saying but I have a lot of tweaking to do.

I will play with it this summer and have a higher stall converter to throw in it this Fall when we go to Tulsa if I haven't reached my goal.

I've dead hooked once and that was a 1.60 60 ft. and the 11.30 e.t. It's picked up some mph since then.

My old stocker in 1988 would sixty foot in the 1.50 to 1.47 range on a good nataional event track. The same cars today are sixty footing in the high 1.20 work You should be able to run 1.50 sixty foots also thumbs Not easily or cheaply though twocents

I understand Dwayne's point which is right. With a 2800 converter and 3.55's it will only 60 so good wihout more converter or gear. Its easy to get caught up in chasing more mph and 60 ft time for sure but it will get to a point when thats it with that converter and gear. And I agree your combo is running great right now for what it is. up Ron
