So 440's came with the industrial heads as well? I thought it was only the 361/413 industrials that came with the industrial top end 426 too, used the block for my max-wedge back in the 70s

I personally have never seen a 440 with the water port heads, but that sure doesn't mean they didn't make them, as a matter of fact, pretty sure they did. I just sold a 60s dump truck that had an industrial 426 in it

I've seen them in a 350 horse 440 out of a 69 or 70 T+C Wagon. Roller chain, big rods and a windage tray too.
Kevin Then someone put that stuff in there because that was not standard fare in any 69 or 70 350 440.

Ummmm, I wouldn't say that for sure. Because I have seen a mixture of those parts in non performance engines, that came from cars I KNOW the engines had not been apart in. I would bet they used whatever they had on hand at time of assy.
One thing I have learned over the years of messing with old cars and guns..........you can NEVER say never...........LOL!!!
