Here is one of my in process solutions. Roll bar kicker will tie into rear most portion of rear SFC extender. Main SFC are 2.5" Sq .083". Car is a /6, other crossmembers are to securely tie in Sebring Seats w/integral seat/shoulder belt. Battery goes in hole. grin

I wonder if anyone has done a specific size install (2 X 3 etc.) and tried to jack up the left front, and measured how far off the ground the right front went up vs. another size?
Obviously, at some point the connector's stiffness exceeds that of the remainder of the chassis, and the right front will come up simultaneously.

As valid as your points are, aren't you intertwining beam strength with torsional strength above? And my reasoning why my latest iteration above, used 2.5 Sq.
