I'll ask over here since probably more guys have experience. Ran into a new in the box pair of these that are 18yrs old. The version with std port size but raised intake, the chambers are smallish and heart shaped. Any idea what the chambers should be CC wise? What they were advertised as? anything in particular to inspect on them for flaws. I know some had issues, any help with knowlege would be appreciated If they are still new in the box I would pass on them, there are way too many GOTCHAS that can rear it's ugly head ... and I am a fan of the stage 6.

Those are the better castings. I always heard the chapman heads were different castings, but I think they are just castings that haven't been ruined by the machining of the pushrod hole location, and the spring pocket depth. The raw castings have great potential. To bad all but the chapman heads are pre-machined. I also agree with others that say they would almost have to be free to be worth the effort to get them on par with some of the other offerings.

Went and looked at them today and it turned out one was one casting the other was different not a pair, kept sending me pics of one single head. The other was max wedge sized. not worth the hassle to chase around looking for single heads to make pairs out of them, so I passed. Looking at them I see why others said lot of work...the labor bill would break the bank. Thanks guys. Got the distinct feeling this guy got stuck with them and now he's trying to find a sucker to bail him out of the mess...junk
