Is the bumper wrapped in chrome? Some special painted chrome? She is still sporting the original bumper. I plan on swapping unless the front ends up being too light

I have a 70 Challenger Stock style suspension, race only car. I have coil overs in the front tied to the 25.3 cage. Big blown Hemi. I have it down to 3,100 lbs but for my class I'm still 200 lbs over weight. Cutting the wheel wells out will give much better access, how much weight would it save? Is this advisable? Has anyone else kept the stock front frame rails and any pics? Thanks Might lose 35-40 lbs. No other ill affects I could see on my big old late B body - at just under 130mph.

I'm impressed with your drive and work ethic. The learning curve, amount of time, and the cash to run a heads up car is huge. Not to mention not going down the path most traveled to do it. I wish you success and a good time. I'll come out to see it run. Doug Thanks Doug, if you're there please stop by the pits and say hi and I'll toss you a beer (medium grade thou, car is sucking up all the funds) or maybe a wrench lol. I have had some really good people step up, chip in and help. Brian Robbins is has been helping us tune it. I would be lost on the fuel injection without him.
