She is still sporting the original bumper. I plan on swapping unless the front ends up being too light

Has anyone else kept the stock front frame rails and any pics?
Thanks
Might lose 35-40 lbs. No other ill affects I could see on my big old late B body - at just under 130mph.

Thanks Shawn,
I didn't get as far as I wanted this weekend. I saved some of the fun for tomorrow night.

Well I know it is pro built worthy, but for my first build, first race car, back yard project with backyard engineering and a ton of used parts....I think it's going to scream this year and give all them little mustangs hell or at least a run for their money in the local drag radial class

Thanks Thumper. I got my feet wet last year with a dozen passes, still with the street car 8 to 1 compression and street cam. We stepped it up this year to 10.5 to 1 and had a race cam ground for alcohol we were burning. Guessing it should give it a good 400 horse kick in the butt this season

I'm impressed with your drive and work ethic. The learning curve, amount of time, and the cash to run a heads up car is huge. Not to mention not going down the path most traveled to do it. I wish you success and a good time. I'll come out to see it run.

Thanks Doug, if you're there please stop by the pits and say hi and I'll toss you a beer (medium grade thou, car is sucking up all the funds) or maybe a wrench lol. I have had some really good people step up, chip in and help. Brian Robbins is has been helping us tune it. I would be lost on the fuel injection without him.

That's a great description, did you hear as of a couple weeks ago he is no longer the driver for the Skinny Kid 442? I'm sad to see they parted ways

I took the long weekend off, burned out, family life is stressed. I got some done last night but won't make the Friday race this week. I still have to mount the new steering column, brake lines, make some small brackets. Whats a good 60' to shoot for, for a 3,300 lb leaf spring drag radial car on an OK prepped track? I think I would be thrilled with anything in the teens. My Ranchos got me into the 1.2's, Santhuff's are on order

Waiting on the mag drive to be rebuilt, it had issues. Besides that it's ready to fire. It's starting to look like a real car again
