68-9 B-body. Doesn't have the 66-7 idler arm mount or the 70-2 sway bar notch. thats what i thought it was it has no coin what sort of threw me off is this feature that i think someone added..

Definitely NOT for E body or after 70 year. No provisions for the sway bar to go thru the middle of it. Mounts look like small block to me. I do not see any bolt holes for the sway bar to have been on the front if it was a big block K member. Just a guess since no Number tag on the front. Jerry

Jerry I think I can see holes on front edge for the sway bar mount?? Was it on a car when you got it? A or B-body?

It was on a 69 b body I doubt it was original to that car. Maybe not to that particular car but still 68-69 #1- engine frame mounts are correct for those years 273-440 are the same, Hemi different #2- sway bar changed in 70 to inside frame, b-e body, holes are in all of them either way, #3- double shear idle arm mount, this is the only thing that could change years, not sure what year that started, I never had a 66-67 car, 65 and down are totally different.

Your reason being? this is a correct k frame for a 69 a12 car you made me dig this pic up from the past here. the one i have is obviously different. i have another thread going with a couple of those k frames in it i suspect.

Interesting, my RR had the first k-frame pictured, never knew what month it was made, who cared about that back then. Guess they made the change over to new k late in the model year but still had a lot of sway bars to use up. What was the first and last build dates for the A-12 cars? Did they use the same frame on all of them? I never paid attention to the Pilot bee as to the style of K on it. My 69 Bee with an SPD of 2/10 has the 68 style bottom , so the change over was after that. As far as the comment of using up swaybars ???? The swaybar change happened for the 1970 model year , 69 model year cars would not have gotten them. The K was obviously changed before the model year started in preparation for the upcoming change.

The last k-frame shown has the holes for the early s-bar drilled not the 70 up, so they where using up what early s-bars they had, my reasoning.
