Thats exactly what I was saying! Bucky has been doing this too long to cheat. Let's see what the infraction was before the accusations start.
Bucky carbs were illegal,Bucky said he had the work done by others they were reworked by others.He said he didn't know they were illegal. When you have the money to built these cars and have other do the work things like this can happen. But rules are rules guys.
Lets not forget he took out Pancake, Henson, and Jeggie for that win.Do you think they should be happy about this. and Charlie was on his way out the gate on his way home everybody trusted that the car was legal.I am sure Bucky feels bad for this mess its was a waste of everybody money and time to race in this shootout.And now Mopar people have to retrack all the press and have new pictures taken with charlie and his car,and I can tell you for fact that Charlie will take more BS over this than Bucky.The Rules are the Rules and that is why they have a rule book and you have to go to teardown if you win and illegal is illegal does't make any diff if your a little illegal or alot.

A person speaking for Bucky has said that the Screws in the thottle plates were recessed instread of extending out where the should have been,and that now joe clark and bucky both missed looking at them or finding them or they would have been corrected. Lets wait and see what NHRA reports.

What a mess this makes, now the Brand Xers will have a field day with this. I might not agree with the way NHRA does things sometimes but they are right here. Thats what teardowns are for to keep everybody honest and legal " Rules are Rules" no matter how small the infraction, like a screw etc if its wrong its wrong. If anything good comes of this its that you better believe Bucky will know his carbs and the rules concerning them better. Congrats to the Legal Winner. I hope to see both of them at the shoot-out at E-Town during the Mopar Atlantic Nats.

This is From NHRA web site quote from them about bucky.
Bucky Hess was disqualified after a post race teardown revealed a carburetor violation.
They have also corrected all the press release now.
This has turn out to be a pain for alot of people.

Buckys' problems in Belle Rose were the result of a problem, which had gone unnoticed, with a part that had been outsourced. Ultimately, Bucky is responsible for the legality of his car. In reality , it's not possible for him to inspect everything. The recent performance gains of the "King Cuda" are the result of hard work by those involved, not because the screws in the throttle shafts were 3/32" too short. Bucky has poured his heart and soul into SS/AH racing for nearly 20 years. His respect for the class, the cars, the people and the history of it is profound. His honesty and integrity are without question by people who know him.
If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.
