I see although the off idle/cruise MAY be lean or unhappy. As I understand it and I have always used 1 1/2-2 turns out and it works great............

with the .032 IFR 1.5 turns out it was way rich, blubbery sounding off idle and idle was rough. i started going lean and it smoothed out alot and idle speed picked up...
so i drilled some set screws and after that i thought well, i might as well drill the IFR in my metering blocks, if i funk them up then i gotta buy some new blocks anyways if want to change IFR...but it's kinda nice to look like stock holley and get stuff tuned up real clean

the .029 got me to a full turn out from 3/4 turn out on the idle screws with the .032

it drives pretty easy when cold, only a little grumpy, so i think i could maybe go a little leaner on the IFR but i'm gonna put some new plugs in to see what they look like. plus i haven't driven it yet since i can get the initial up in the 17-18* range (from ~13* initial)...

gotta say i'm quite thankful for the discussion i've been able to dig up here and at yellowbullet and some of the other forums such as where mark whitener posts.
