Not yet but pretty much put spacers on everything for different reasons like adding plenum volume, isolating heat and open or four hole to tune the curve........

Just got the Edelbrock air gap intake that I will try instead of the stage V intake. The Edelbrock intake seems very shallow from the flanges to bottom. The runners seems higher than the stage V since it is an air gap design, but it is made to fit under the hood. I have a scoop so space is not a problem. Have not compared the height between the two intakes yet. Think I will try spacers and look for improvements.

I like a wood 4-hole 1/2 thick spacer for insulation then stack open ones below that to tune plenum volume........

Now I have two 750 Holleys with vacuum secondary's witch works fine on the street. The new set up will be for strip only, it is a 484 cu. Hemi. Might need double pumpers now? I have 2 older 750 dp. Holleys. They need some work, maybe I better get new carbs instead.

I put 2 shear plates. but now I am not sure if the carbs will now clear my hood, I may need to make a new air cleaner base from carbon fiber to lower its top down.

How many rpm do you plan on turning... and yes
I would try DP carbs.. I never had vac sec carbs
work well on a drag car.. and I tried a whole year

I can take a picture of the dp Holleys I got. Might give them a try even if they are pretty old. Going to my garage on Saturday, will take pics and post. And I like to limit the rpm to about 7000-7200, not much more.

Double pumpers have rear metering blocks, is there enough room/spread on the intake for mounting inline that's assuming with short bowls? Or are you attempting too turn them and mount them sideways?

Try mounting the D.P. carbs.inline first scope I've heard on here, I think, that the Stage V intake where designed for that originally, not for dual Carters confused

The Holley DP carbs are a little to long to fit inline and the bolt holes don't match if carbs are placed sideways on the stage V intake. The Edelbrock intake seems to require Carter style flange carbs. The 750 DP carbs, list # 6109 came of a 440 tunnel ram, they are marked 1 and 2. I do have an old Weiand Hemi tunnel ram too. I have to do some thinking what to do, maybe the DP carbs end up on the tunnel ram. Could not see how to ad pics.

I should have answered your question on carb. spacers first, most of the single carb. dual plane intake manifolds I've added 1 to 2 inch tall spacers like that, some single plane intake do also but some don't confused This is one of those things that need to be tested on your combnation to find out if you like it or not up I have had manifold bolt patterns changed to use a 4150 bolt pattern on a Indy M.W. tunnel ram intake that had the 4500 pattern on it for sideways mounting, this intake was plumb for Rons Flying Toilet mechanical injection and I have his dual Terminator throttle body that have the 4150 pattern so I had to have that intake top modidfed to use those throttle bodys in line shruggy The tunnel ram should be a bunch better than any lower, smaller plenum dual four intake upPlus they look a lot better in some peoples opinion also devil twocents Does your Weiand Hemi tunnel ram intake have both pattersn for using the 4150 carbs. on it sideways and inline?
