i'm fully aware of the 100LL. used to run it in my 12.5:1 340. ran great for awhile. last time i filled up with it carb ran so fat i could barely keep the engine running. dont know what that was about but i never used it again. i have an air port near by i could just pull up to the pump incert my credit card and fill up. i like the reviews on the c12. i also have turbo blue 110 available at the pump which i plan on using while cruising.

That doesn't mean anything....IF you didn't properly tune the engine on both fuels

I'd run c12 in it...... And if I wanted a "big number", jet up 4-6 sizes and dump in some q16.

Nothing at all wrong with Av-gas, if you are worried about the octane get some Turbo 108 racing additive for it, the MMT enhances the lead content to raise octane even more. I add a large bottle to 55 gallons. C12 is a fine fuel, and if you do a little tuning VP113 is an lower cost oxygenated fuel that works well.

And note that ANY fuel change should follow with a tuning session to find best performance.

To the OP...I'd use Avgas if I wanted to save money and was able to get it. If not, use C12.
