A track day is about as "proper" as an engine break in could get!

72Swinger that's absolutely correct. Its pretty much out of the mopar engine book in the back where the break in section is....Graduated acceleration tests. I have actually broken in 2 engines with the car on the trailer. One at 2am at LAX where its is noisy all night. One at the race track. But I think maybe MuuMuu101 may be referring to some of the mechanical aspects elsewhere on the car not being ready yet, After all the car has to be dependable. Correct. I just need to make sure the clutch is broken in properly, the rear end gears are broken in properly, any safety concern is addressed, it starts up when it needs to, no leaks, etc. When I get the car back, I'll be daily driving it to work everyday and driving it on the weekends.

Maybe some day I'll make it down there. But by then I might be too old to drive...

Maybe some day I'll make it down there. But by then I might be too old to drive... Hey Tom, tell ya what, I can come up and load up your car and bring it down. The warm dry climate would be good for it. I'd even send you some video of me spanking it around the track.

My check to Tim is going out in today's snail mail, so color me there (with the new blue car).
Silly newbie question about logistics:
I am coming from out of town [stag], staying local to the track Wednesday night, and at the AirTel Thursday-Saturday nights. Therefore, I am homeless during the day Thursday. My trunk will be full of folding chair. ice chest, duffel bag, and the like. I would rather not putt around the course with all this stuff rattling around back there. Is there a place to leave my trunk junk in the pits/paddock area?
Down to just a blue car now.

Is there a place to leave my trunk junk in the pits/paddock area? Awesome that you are coming out. It will not disappoint. Historically, anywhere in the paddocks has been safe to leave stuff. I will have an enclosed trailer and truck if you feel compelled to want to lock your stuff up. Or more than welcome to throw it in the back of the truck for ease of access.

Awesome. I'm bringing my computer race scales out for participants to use for free. Maybe figure out what a Hellcat exactly corner weighs to the tenth of a pound?

Cool Steve, I have been anxious to see what my car weighs now with all the changes. I'm guessing around 3900 lbs with the 5.7/ Nag1/alterktion/4link

If you like Steve when I get there you can put the stuff in the back of my truck. Of course you'll be there before me. I'll be getting to the track around noon or so.
